Unit Plan Title: Climax in Greek Mythology Unit Summary: Climax is a literary element that is apparent in all greek mythologies. Climax is an important element because it allows readers to evaluate decisions and actions of the characters. In this unit, students will read several Greek mythologies which include, but not limited to The Flight of Icarus, The Origin of Seasons, Echo and Narcissus, and Orpheus, the Great Musician. Students will be able to identify literary elements such as plot, exposition, rising action, falling action, and conflict. Students will specifically concentrate on the literary element, climax. Students will also explore and analyze climax in Greek mythologies. Curriculum Framing Questions:
