Unit Summary:
The students will know how to plot ordered pairs on a coordinate plane and identify a specific area on a map using the coordinate plots on a map; the students will be able to distinguish the differences of latitude/longitude, x-&-y axis, and identify a coordinate grid.

Summative Assessment:
The students will take a pre-assessment using Google Documents survey questions to help the instructor understand what level of success the students are already on; the formative assessment will be taken using the ActivInspire program to have students answer formal questions covering the objective of understanding the plotting of ordered pairs on a coordinate plane; the 21st Century Group project will be researching specific chosen areas and the ordered pairs of that particular location on a map. TSWB required to present the research and explain the process of locating the assigned area in a powerpoint presentation.
